Borden Primary School recognised these wonderful students for their community commitment. In order to be considered for their end of year Citizenship Award a student must have been awarded as an Aussie of the Month. Congratulations to all students and thank you for setting such a fine example to your peers.
Harmony Day celebrations were certainly a colourful affair at the Australian Islamic College in Kewdale. We were honoured to be invited to participate and meet the students, teachers and Aussie of the Month Award winners. Thanks for the invite.
Young Australians of the Year 2016, Nic Marchesi and Lucas Patchett brought their Orange Sky Laundry van to Collier Primary School and spoke about the importance of getting involved in community initiatives. Aussie of the Month recipients Zack and Matilda, were thrilled to receive their awards from these two awesome guys.

Dr John is keeping very busy with lots of visits to Primary Schools. This time he presented the Aussie of the Month Award to Dylan Coffin at Marble Bar Primary School. There's only around 40 children at the school but they were excited to welcome the Young Australian of the Year (WA) and get involved in his FairGame initiative.
Dr John van Bockxmeer, Young Australian of the Year (WA) presented the Aussie of the Month Award to Dyllan Ramsey at Edgewater Primary School in May 2014. Dr John spoke to all the students at their Assembly about his work at FairGame and encouraged them to always try their best. They were excited to hear that Dr John was an Aussie of the Month when he was at school.
The International Women's Day Big Breakfast at Gooseberry Hill Primary School was a fantastic way to recognise the great work being done in the community by four outstanding women. Ashlee Harrison, WA Young Australian of the Year Awards finalist, was joined by Michelle Fyfe (Assistant Police Commissioner), Belinda Beatty (RAAF Flight Lieutenant) and Alexis Donkin (Channel 7 Reporter). The Year 6 & 7 girls did a magnificent job at presenting the event and invited their Mums along too.

Victoria Park Primary School hosted a visit by Naomi Henn, finalist in the WA Young Australian of the Year Awards. Naomi presented the Aussie of the Month Awards to their October 2013 recipients. All of the 2013 recipients were inspired to hear how much Naomi has achieved at such a young age and were happy to join in the photo.
Akram Azimi, 2013 Young Australian of the Year presented the first Aussie of the Month Award to Cody Hawksley at Scarborough Primary School. Cody is a great role model and stood up for one of his classmates when he was being bullied. Akram's a great role model too and had all the students laughing and enjoying his visit to their Assembly. Welcome on board to all at Scarborough.
2013 Young Australian of the Year (WA) finalists present Aussie of the Month Awards at WA schools
'Thumbs Up' as Marita Cheng, 2012 Young Australian of the Year joined DAVE and Principal Peter Jakimowiez to present the Aussie of the Month Awards at Wooroloo Primary School. DAVE is the school's mascot and represents their strong commitment to Developing Australian Values in Education.
Jason Mule, Matisse Johnson and Myla Do received their Aussie of the Month Award at St Simon Peter Catholic Primary School, Ocean Reef from Australia Day Ambassador - Priya Cooper. The students were amazed to hear of Priya's outstanding achievments as a Paralympian and role model for all. Well done guys and thank you Priya for making the day so special for them.
Sam Ward was presented with the Aussie of the Month Award for Wesley College, South Perth by former Young Australian of the Year (WA) Simone McMahon recently. Sam was rewarded for being a polite and responsible student and for being a role model in the playgound. Sam said he felt very good about receiving the award and was very proud. Well done Sam!
Bailey Pike of Woodlupine Primary School in Forresfield received their first Aussie of the Month Award for 2012. He received the award for being willing, enthusiastic and helpful to another class by demonstrating a string activity and then making a class set of strings for them.
